The College offers undergraduate programs of study, that provide students with practical, career-oriented skills within a liberal-arts based curriculum. The application of the curriculum to real world issues is highly valued and a significant proportion of the students participate in off-campus study programs in either New York City, Albany, Washington DC, or abroad. All of our majors are flexible enough to accommodate a semester off campus and to accommodate graduate and professional school prerequisites.
In addition, students have meaningful opportunities to engage in research with faculty, either through independent and directed studies, honors theses, and or paid research assistance. The college also welcomes transfer students at both the sophomore and junior level. A number of the undergraduate majors can accommodate students transferring to the College of Human Ecology as juniors and have them graduate with two years of study at Cornell.
