2025 Undergraduate Admissions Cycle

First-year and transfer students applying to the following undergraduate majors are required to submit a design supplement as directed below, in addition to completing the Common Application. Current Cornell University students applying to internally transfer to College of Human Ecology majors also need to complete the Internal Transfer application process in addition to the design supplement for your desired major.

Applications submitted to these majors without the required supplement will not be considered. Design supplements are critically evaluated by department faculty and are considered in conjunction with a student's full application materials (Common Application, transcript(s), etc.).

• Design + Environment Analysis — 2025 DEA Design Challenge
• Fashion Design and Management (Submit one supplement based on the option within Fashion Design and Management to which you are applying.)
  • Fashion Design option — 2025 Fashion Design Portfolio and Design Index
  • Fashion Design Management option — 2025 Fashion Design Management Case Study (in progress)
• Fiber Science — 2025 Fiber Science Index

• Early decision first-year applicants: November 1, 2024
• Regular decision first-year applicants: January 2, 2025
• Fall external transfer applicants: March 15, 2025
