The university is pleased to have hosted in-person Commencement Ceremonies the weekend of May 28-30 in Schoellkopf Field. To keep density low, there was a series of smaller ceremonies instead of our customary singular large Commencement.
Graduates were permitted to invite up to two guests for their in-person ceremony. During the week of May 10, graduates received additional information about registering guests for tickets. Due to distancing requirements, space remained limited. Under no circumstances were guest tickets transferable.
In accordance with New York state health and safety guidelines, attendees abided by physical distancing requirements and wore face coverings throughout Commencement events, regardless of vaccination status. Additionally, graduates and guests provided documentation of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken on or after Thursday, May 27, in order to attend.
Livestreaming of the ceremonies
All of the Commencement Ceremonies were livestreamed starting with the Law School Convocation on May 22, the PhD Ceremony on May 28 and the Commencement Ceremonies at 11 a.m. or 4 p.m. EST on Saturday, May 29, and 11 a.m. or 4 p.m. EST on Sunday, May 30. Recordings of all the ceremonies are available to view.
