Learn more about the efforts on evidence synthesis in the Division of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell University:
The WHO Collaborating Center on Nutrition Research for Health in the Division of Nutritional Sciences supports the WHO’s mission to provide training and education to nutrition scientists while providing technical advice to the WHO and aiding in the development of guidelines.
The Cochrane Cornell Affiliate Center also part of the Cochrane US Network works to promote evidence-based decision-making in nutrition in the US by producing high-quality systematic reviews, supporting and building capacity for systematic review authors, training current and potential users of Cochrane Reviews, and forging collaborative partnerships for nutrition policy and practice. The Center also collaborates with clinicians, professional associations, policymakers, patients, healthcare provider organizations, and the media to facilitate global policymaking in nutrition.
The Joan Klein Jacobs Center for Precision Nutrition and Health in the College of Human Ecology at Cornell University works to support the translational pipeline to move science, evidence and associated technologies from academic settings to the broader community. Systematic reviews produced by authors trained at the Summer Institute have informed WHO guidelines that are the cornerstone for the policies in WHO member states. The systematic reviews authored by the faculty in the Joan Klein Jacobs Center for Precision Nutrition and Health are already contributing to WHO Guidelines on nutrition and health.
