We were honored to be joined by Dr. Vivian Lee, for our Sloan Colloquium! Dr. Lee, M.D., Ph.D., M.B.A, is President of Health Platforms at Verily Life Sciences, an Alphabet company whose mission is to apply digital solutions that enable people enjoy healthier lives. To prepare for the meeting, the Sloan Book Club (and a few alumni board members) read The Long Fix together, which provided rich insight and thought-provoking discussion. The Long Fix illustrates issues and suggested improvements to the U.S. healthcare system while providing tangible, practical applications for healthcare leaders to drive change towards value-based care, reduced harm and waste, and helping patients be good stewards of their own health.
