Ali is a first year graduate student in the Cornell Institute for Public Affairs, concentrating in International Development Studies. His policy interest areas focus mostly on the developing world which include but are not limited to health, inequality and human rights.
Prior to enrolling in CIPA, Ali worked for a year as a consultant with the primary and secondary healthcare for the Government of the Punjab, Pakistan. His primarily responsibilities included data analytics and process optimization in order to maintain a high immunization coverage in the province. Ali has also served in a managerial role in international marketing for the private sector. He graduated in 2015 from Lahore University of Management Sciences, with a major in Finance and a minor in Political Science.
Ali also has a passion for writing, and has been a vocal advocate for human rights and social issues facing Pakistan. He remains an ardent supporter of interfaith harmony, and has worked on a number of initiatives to fight against intolerance and bigotry prevalent in the society.
