Spring 2020 PAM Outstanding TA Awards

Spring 20 TAs

Each semester, the Field of Policy Analysis & Management recognizes graduate students with Outstanding Teaching Assistant Awards. These awards are intended to recognize and incentivize outstanding work by teaching assistants, and to signal to potential employers that the recipients are exceptional teachers.

Please join us in congratulating the winners of the PAM Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award for the Spring 2020 semester!

Giulia Olivero PADM 5310: Applied Multivariate Statistics in Public Affairs

Tatiana Padilla – PAM 3040: Immigration and Public Policy

These awards are intended to recognize and incentivize outstanding work by teaching assistants, and to signal to potential employers that the recipients are exceptional teachers. This spring was an unusually challenging semester for teaching, making the accolades received by Giulia and Tatiana all the more impressive!

Outstanding TA awards are based on student course evaluations (both the numeric scoring and open-ended responses) and the feedback of professors teaching the courses.  Factors related to the difficulty of TAing the course (e.g. enrollment, workload, sections, whether it's a required course) are also taken into account.
