Fall 2020 TA Awards

Anne Burton and Sam Dodini

Congratulations to the winners of the PAM Outstanding Teaching Assistant Awards for the Fall 2020 semester!

Sam Dodini – PAM 2040: Economics of the Public Sector

Anne Burton – PAM 4280: Risky Health Behaviors

These awards are intended to recognize and incentivize outstanding work by teaching assistants, and to signal to potential employers that the recipients are exceptional teachers. This fall was an unusually challenging semester for teaching, making the accolades received by Sam and Anne all the more impressive.

Outstanding TA awards are based on student course evaluations (both the numeric scoring and open-ended responses) and feedback from professors teaching the courses.  Factors related to the difficulty of TAing the course (e.g. enrollment, workload, sections, required course) are also taken into account.

Thank you to ALL of our graduate students for their dedication and commitment to outstanding teaching. Your evaluations this fall were full of appreciation for the time, expertise, support, and compassion that you showed our students in the face of truly difficult circumstances.
