Secretary to the Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, New York State

DeRosa was featured in The New York Times and Elle Magazine for coordinating New York State's response to the Coronavirus Pandemic. As Governor Cuomo’s secretary, she is the highest appointed position in NYS, and the first woman in history to hold the role.

In an Elle Magazine article, Cuomo describes DeRosa as an “invaluable" member of his team and one of the "best minds" to take on the Pandemic."

DeRosa will also lead a COVID-19 maternity task force through the New York State Council on Women and Girls. The task force will "examine the best approach to authorizing and certifying additional dedicated birthing centers to provide mothers a safe alternative to already stressed hospitals amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic."
