Mark DeAngelis is a PAM and CIPA alumnus who has a long history of engagement with CIPA. In addition to serving as a CIPA colloquium speaker on many occasions, he has placed a number of CIPA students in internships and jobs in the environmental policy/finance spaces. He also is the co-founder of CIPA’s Environmental Finance and Impact Investment (EFII) Fellows program, which is an academic collaboration between CIPA and the Johnson School. DeAngelis’ wife, Carmen Molinos, is a Cornell alumna and managing director in Morgan Stanley’s Mergers and Acquisition Department based in NYC.

Elenore Garton currently is a senior principal at LeSar Development Consultants, San Diego. After graduating from CIPA, she earned a Ph.D. in social policy at Brandeis University. She has consulted widely on nonprofit management and social policy and has been involved with organizations dedicated to philanthropy and impact investment, including the Wilson Foundation, the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation and Keel Asset Management.

Michael Hanson is an Engineering (ORIE) and CIPA alumnus who has been a key resource for students seeking opportunities in the U.S. intelligence community. He is active in several Cornell alumni groups, including the Ivy Council and the Cornell Engineering Alumni Association. He was recently selected as a member-at-large on the Cornell University Council. Although the nature of his work limits his participation in CIPA career events, his participation in university-wide and college alumni groups has given him a useful strategic outlook on alumni engagement/development initiatives. Hanson’s wife, Susan, is also a Cornell alumna.

Steve Johnson is Cornell vice president emeritus for government and community relations. In this role, he has advocated for the university's interests by developing strong relationships with members of Congress, White House and federal agency officials, and special-interest groups; supervised the university's lobbying activities at state and federal levels; and worked on behalf of such regional economic development initiatives as the Southern Tier Regional Economic Development Council.
Johnson also advanced revisions in immigration law to permit the employment of outstanding scientists and scholars under the H-1B visa program, including securing permanent exemption for higher education. He organized the first joint federal lobbying day for New York medical colleges and established the university's federal relations office in Washington, D.C., in 1999. Johnson has served as an informal mentor to underrepresented Cornell students interested in public policy, introducing them to Washington lobbying efforts and helping them develop various student programs.
Prior to serving in government relations, he was a program coordinator and extension associate for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, 1972-84. He helped secure federal or state funding for such initiatives as Cornell's Food Science pilot plant, the Cornell University Center for Advanced Computing, the Wilson Synchrotron Laboratory, other capital facilities on the Ithaca and Geneva campuses, and the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico.
Johnson helped establish the first interstate nutrition education program and pesticide safety education program for Cornell Cooperative Extension's program for migrant farm workers and their families. He received his Master of Public Administration degree from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University and his B.A. from Pennsylvania State University.
Nahmjin Kim CALS ’98, MPA ’00, Term: 2015-18 email@example.com
Nahmjin Kim is a CALS (Agricultural Resource and Managerial Economics) and CIPA alumna who currently serves as a client account services manager at Deloitte Consulting in Washington, D.C. After graduating from CIPA, she worked for the New York City Office of Management and Budget (NYCOMB) before moving into a deputy director position at the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA).
During her time in New York City, Kim was instrumental in placing CIPA students in internships and jobs at NYCOMB and NYCHA. At one point, when NYCOMB was going through a transition that did not allow on-site recruitment presentations, Kim hosted a group of 20 students and NYCOMB staff at her home. She frequently participates in CIPA career events in Washington, D.C., and has spoken as part of our Washington, D.C., colloquium series in the past.

Ron Rigores is an AEM alumnus who has contributed extensively to CIPA as a colloquium speaker and assistant instructor for Tom O’Toole’s seminar on comparative public administration (he escorted the CIPA student delegation to Seoul this year). With an extensive network in New York City government and IT consulting, he has also sourced several internships and capstone projects for CIPA, in addition to placing students in full-time positions. He has recently expressed interest in developing courses, including those that he might possibly teaching, around public and social entrepreneurship.
Rigores formerly worked for a division at LexisNexis that develops analytics to detect fraud, waste and abuse in social services. He currently works for Bank Leumi in New York City. He has served on his 10th Reunion campaign committee and was an advisory to E@C. He sponsors externships and is also a CAAAN volunteer. He attends countless on- and off-campus events as well as webinars.
Andrew Siwo, MPA ‘ Term: 2017-20 email@example.com
Andrew Siwo is an Investment Director and Head of Mission Related Investments at Colonial Consulting, an investment advisory firm to foundations and endowments.
Prior to joining Colonial Consulting, Siwo was a manager at the Global Impact Investing Networking (GIIN). In his capacity there, he was responsible for the operation, sourcing, and development of ImpactBase, the largest platform of impact investment funds worldwide, which he grew by $10 bn and approved more than 100 new impact funds/products targeting a financial and social/environmental return. He also educated and fostered institutional investors seeking exposure to socially/environmentally responsible investment portfolios.
Prior to joining the GIIN, Andrew spent five years in the investment banking division at JP Morgan--most recently in the Global Special Opportunities Group, a $3 billion proprietary portfolio of principal investments in private equity, debt, mezzanine, infrastructure, and real estate. He also held roles on the Rates Desk executing fixed income financing transactions as well as the Securitized Products Group valuing collateralized mortgage obligations.
Before JP Morgan, Andrew was a member of the Corporate Finance and Real Estate Strategy Group at Victoria's Secret leading project finance initiatives. He began his career at E*Trade Financial managing a team of investment representatives serving active traders and high net-worth, self-directed investors. Andrew completed an MPA in Finance and Fiscal Policy from Cornell University and BA in Accounting from Morehouse College. He has held FINRA Series 7, 63, and 24 licenses.
Marion Sullivan MPA ’97, Term: 2015-18 firstname.lastname@example.org
After graduating from CIPA, Marion Sullivan played a leading role in the election of Bev Perdue as North Carolina’s first female governor and served as senior advisor to Governor Perdue in her Administration. She has significant experience in public policy, nonprofit management, politics and public education campaigns. Currently, she is director of governmental relations with WellPoint, and serves on the board of trustees at UNC-Charlotte. She has contributed to CIPA as both a colloquium speaker and frequent advisor to the Women in Public Policy (WIPP) co-curricular organization.

Doug Tyler is a director with Deloitte and Touche's Multistate Tax Services group. He founded a longstanding internship with Multistate Tax that has only been open to CIPA students. Many of these internships have converted into full-time positions. Tyler is also the founder of The Public Affairs Society. His undergraduate degree is in government.
