Julie Ewing

2014 Outstanding Senior Award Recipient
Julie Ewing '14

Julie Ewing ‘14 has taken full advantage of her four-year Cornell experience. She joined the College of Human Ecology after two years in Arts & Sciences when she recognized her academic desire for psychology and human development could best be pursued at the College. Her expectations were met and she plans to continue pursuing her passion of attaining a PhD in clinical psychology. She expanded her education outside the classroom through several key leadership roles. First, by volunteering to be an Orientation Leader for new Cornell students in 2012 and then serving on the 2013 Steering Committee for all orientation activities.

Her part-time job with Alumni Affairs grew when she became Head Reunion Clerk and, for two years, has coordinated the management of the young alumni classes. Julie has been a member of the Dean’s Undergraduate Advisory Council and, in her senior year, became the Student Representative for the Human Ecology Alumni Association Board. Her leadership roles continued into her senior year where she has served as Vice President of Volunteer Management for the Senior Class Campaign, and worked with her classmates to introduce the Class of 2014 to the many opportunities available to Cornell alumni. Her plans after graduation are to attend graduate school.
