Faculty Advisory Board for Information Technology (FABIT)
The CHE Faculty Advisory Board for Information Technologies (CHE-FABIT) is a board of faculty members that will advise the Dean on college-wide IT policy issues, requirements, directions, priorities and concerns relating to the uses of information technologies at Cornell.
CHE-FABIT will focus on:
Strategic investment, deployment, and management of IT resources in support of teaching, learning, and research in the College of Human Ecology.
FABIT will be composed of faculty members, the two associate deans (co-chairs), and the director of information technology (ex officio).
Faculty will be selected for:
their interest and expertise in the many uses of information technologies
their ability to reflect the broad interests of the college
Appointments of faculty will be for 1 and 2 year terms, to stagger replacements and provide for continuity. New appointments made based on CHE-FABIT recommendations to the dean.
