Readings on LGB and Trans Issues

Two sets of bibliographies appear
here.
  • References and abstracts of potential readings on LGB issues that may be included in clinical and counseling graduate programs.
  • References for those interested in various other areas in the LGB clinical and research literature (e.g., couple relationships, family and parenting, domestic violence).

The Men's Bibliography is a comprehensive bibliography of writing on men, masculinities, gender, and sexualities.

Trans-Academics.org is a place where people of all genders can discuss gender theory, the trans community and its various identities, both as a part of the academic world and day-to-day life. You can click here to explore their incredible user-friendly trans-specific Reference Library.

Assets Coming Together (ACT) for Youth is an innovative youth development initiative that promotes social change to help young people thrive. ACT’s central strategy is the formation of cross-sector community partnerships. Charged with creating systemic changes in their organizations and communities, these partnerships seek to build communities where young people feel safe, where they are connected to adults and community institutions, and where they have developmentally supportive opportunities to be active agents in their lives and communities.

Recently, ACT for Youth published the first in a two-part series on trans youth,
Growing up Transgender, that introduces current research and theory on transgender identity formation.
