Here at the Sex and Gender Lab we strive to further the science of human sexuality. Your participation is greatly appreciated.
We are currently recruiting for the following project(s):
Personality and Sexuality Study - The purpose of this study is to investigate how men and women, and people with different sexual identities might differ in their behavior, including their sexual attraction to others. The whole procedure takes one hour and 30 minutes and you will make $30! There are three parts to the study: 1) Watching videos other people, some of which are erotic, in privacy and rate them on their attractiveness. 2) Taking an anonymous survey. 3) A brief videotaped interview. If you're interested, please e-mail Gerulf Rieger, and he will set up a time for you to come in.
The Human Development graduate program is very competitive and typically no more than one student per year is admitted to Human Development to work with Dr. Savin-Williams. He does not decide who is selected; rather, the departmental Admissions Committee reviews applications and makes the final decision.
If you are applying through another graduate program (e.g., Psychology, Sociology, Neurobiology and Behavior, Policy Analysis & Management), you can be affiliated with the Sex & Gender Lab if Dr. Savin-Williams is on your graduate committee.
* The PhD that you would receive is in Developmental Psychology with a concentration in Social/Personality Psychology
If you would like to be a part of the Sex & Gender Lab, Dr. Savin-Williams must be a member of your graduate committee. Please contact him directly for details.
