Resources
Students have an opportunity to play an active role in the design, execution, and analysis of research projects from the beginning of graduate study. Experience is gained through their own individual research or through participation in faculty research projects.
Research facilities available to graduate students include laboratories and work areas directed by individual graduate faculty in the department as well as shared space.
Computing resources are provided by a departmental computer lab, faculty research programs, the Office of Computing and Statistical Consulting, the Cornell Institute for Social and Economic Research, Cornell Information Technologies, and the supercomputing facilities of the Cornell Theory Center.
HD also has research ties to many college-based initiatives through the Bronfenbrenner Center for Translational Research.
