The Division is involved in many Cornell Cooperative Extension programs related to nutrition. All programs focus on healthy eating and active living to support obesity prevention efforts.
Food and Nutrition Education in Communities - Programs for limited-resource populations throughout New York, including Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP), Eat Smart New York, and Farmers' Market Nutrition Program
Sisters in Health - A program to increase fruit and vegetable consumption among low-income women
Family and Community Food Decision-Making - A program that engages families and communities to nurture health and well being
Cornell Farm to School Program - A program providing resources for food service directors, parents, and farmers with the goal of increasing the use of New York State foods in schools, colleges, and universities
Northeast Regional Food Guide - A nutrition education tool to help consumers choose a nutritious, seasonally varied diet from foods grown in the Northeast region
Breast Cancer & Environmental Risk Factors - A program of research and education on diet, lifestyle & breast cancer; includes research focus on prevention of excess weight gain to reduce breast cancer risk using an environmental approach
