Well Slide Set

A new slide set is available for loan to county educators. The slide set, titled "Protect your home well and your community water supply," contains 52 numbered color slides and a script that takes approximately 20 - 30 minutes to narrate. The slide set provides a basic understanding of ground water, describes possible sources of pollution to a private water supply, and suggests ways in which homeowners may protect their drinking water from contamination.

Home*A*Syst Training Video

The "New York State Home*A*Syst Satellite Training Program" was broadcast live via the Cornell Cooperative Extension Satellite Network on February 10, 1998. This 2-hour videotape contains five segments: (1)update and overview of both the national and New York State Home*A*Syst programs; (2) panel discussion with county educators about the promotion, planning, and delivery of their respective Home*A*Syst pilot programs; (3) panel discussion with local collaborators about their support, interest, and potential role in county Home*A*Syst programs given various scenarios and county needs; (4) panel discussion with Extension staff from Cornell about their potential roles, activities, resources and programming links for the various Home*A*Syst topics; and (5) a Question and Answer segment, during which audience members throughout New York State interacted directly with the panel speakers.
