Electives: The Sloan Program encourages students to design their own field of emphasis. "I would found an institution where any person can find instruction in any study," Ezra Cornell declared in 1865. In the Cornell tradition, the health services administration program allows you to select courses according to your career interests. Electives are offered in a variety of areas, including managed care, women's heath issues, comparative health systems, welfare policy, consumer behavior, social policy, human resource management, entrepreneurship and management consulting. Course titles include Service Operations, Strategic Marketing, Financial Statement Analysis, Managerial Decision-Making, E-Management, Negotiations, Managerial Writing, Leading Teams, Entrepreneurship, Organizational Communication and Managed Care. |
