Healthy Start Partnership

The letter was developed and distributed by Mohawk Valley Perinatal Network to health, family & consumer science teachers and school nurses. The local partnership letterhead was developed and included all partners. It was mutually agreed to use Herkimer County HealthNet (HCHN) website and phone number for follow-up, since all partners were connected through HCHN. Breastfeeding K-12 curriculum was referenced through website in letter. The mailing included the following enclosures:

• Resources for Breastfeeding Mothers Handout
• Nursing in Public Brochure
• Fathers support breastfeeding brochure
• Breastfeeding Forum Flyer
