Friday, May 1, 2009

A beautiful Finger Lakes Winery Tour is available through Experience the Finger Lakes! (not affiliated with Cornell University) from 12:00 to 6:00 PM.

Reconnect with peers and meet Sloan students at the Alumni-Student BBQ at Six Mile Creek Vineyard from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

 

Saturday, May 2, 2009 – Optional Activities

Visit the Cornell Lab of Ornithology on your own from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM or join a guided tour from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.

Take a self-guided tour of the Cornell Plantations (11:00 AM to 4:00 PM) or browse the collection at the Johnson Museum of Art on your own (10:00 AM – 5:00 PM) or on one of two guided tours beginning at 1:00 & 3:00 PM.

Other options include discovering the Sciencenter on your own (10:00 AM – 5:00 PM) or exploring the Ithaca Farmers’ Market between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

 

Saturday, May 2, 2009 – Educational Activities

Join fellow Sloan alumni, friends, faculty, and students for a day of learning and sharing.
Continental breakfast & registration for educational sessions will be held from 7:30 to 8:45 AM in Trillium, Kennedy Hall.

Two concurrent educational sessions are offered at both 9:15 to 10:00 AM and 10:15 to 11:00 AM.  A panel on the future of healthcare in the U.S. is offered from 11:15 AM to 12:30 PM.

Enjoy lunch with friends old & new and hear reflections from two of the Sloan Program’s most accomplished alumni – Nancy Schlichting, Sloan ’79 (President & Chief Executive Officer, Henry Ford Health System) and Mark T. Bertolini, Sloan ’84 (President, Aetna Inc.) – from 12:30 to 2:15 PM in Trillium, Kennedy Hall.


Capstone presentations of student research take place at 2:30 PM in 153 MVR Hall. 


Later, join us for the Wagner Memorial Dinner, featuring the Class of 2009 and Reflections on 50 Years of Sloan Success with William Gonzalez ‘66, Jon Vollmer ‘81 and Maria Papola ‘95, Program Director William D. White, PhD & Dean Alan D. Mathios.

Reception begins at 5:30 PM at the Country Club of Ithaca.

 

Sunday, May 3, 2009

Brunch begins at9:00 AM at Moakley House, Robert Trent Jones Golf Course.

Follow brunch with golf at 10:30 AM (also at Robert Trent Jones), or join the scenic bicycle tour or hiking groups meeting at 11:30 AM.
