The mission of the Alumni Association of the NYS College of Human Ecology at Cornell University (HEAA) is to establish and maintain a mutually beneficial relationship between the college and its alumni and to strengthen the land-grant mission in teaching, research, and outreach.

The HEAA strives to enhance alumni awareness of the College of Human Ecology programs and research initiatives; establish programs and provide support to the college, its students and alumni, through alumni participation; and increase student awareness of the alumni network, and student and alumni interaction, and encourage future participation in the association.

What the HEAA Does:

  • Provides financial support for scholarships
  • Awards grants to undergraduate and graduate students for a variety of needs  
  • Presents the annual Faculty Advising Award, sponsored jointly by HEAA and Kappa Omicron Nu Honor Society, to recognize a faculty member selected by juniors and seniors in the college
  • Recognizes outstanding alumni achievements with the Helen Bull Vandervort Alumni Achievement Award and the Recent Alumni Award
  • Sponsors special events such as the regional Faculty Speakers program
