The Human Ecology Research Association is a student organization whose mission is to promote undergraduate research in the Human Ecology disciplines. Our programs provide students with outlets to share their research with the Cornell community and help other students find research positions within the Human Ecology disciplines.

Event dates are set at the beginning of every semester. Annual events typically include:

  • Pizza with the Profs: an informal setting where students interested in pursuing research meet faculty seeking researchers and learn more about opportunities in the college. PWP is typically scheduled once each semester.
  • Student Research Panel: A panel of five to six student researchers answers questions about how to find a project, balance the time commitment of lab responsibilities with coursework, answer questions and exchange information.
  • Poster Design Program: Learn to use Power Point and Photo Shop to create effect research posters.
  • Research-In-Progress Forum: a recognition event for undergraduates in the Human Ecology community. Students create posters representing their on-going research and gain feedback from various faculty and students before their results are complete. The forum helps students hone their presentation skills in preparation for the Cornell-wide and national research forums later in the semester.

The Spring 2007 forum was held in April. Cornell Undergraduate Research Board forum typically follows the Human Ecology program. Many students participate in both.
