About Our College

Facilities

Most of the College is housed within the beautiful and historic Martha Van Rensselaer Hall, situated at the north end of Cornell’s “Ag Quad”. We are proud to provide state-of-the-art CAD labs, distance learning facilities, a human metabolic research unit, and auditorium-style classrooms. Recent construction projects have provided us with vastly improved laboratory and administrative spaces, as well as a café, Martha’s. The café includes a common area with high speed, wireless internet access. Wireless access will soon be offered in the building’s courtyard, as well.

This year, construction will begin on the north wing of Martha Van Rensselaer Hall. Once completed, this extraordinary new building will include spacious, well-equipped wet and dry laboratory space, a 500-seat auditorium, and student common areas as well as administrative offices and classroom space. Our own Department of Design and Environmental Analysis is collaborating with the architect on the wing’s environmentally-friendly design, and students from that department have taken part in designing the student commons.
