Career Exploration Center

Human Ecology's Career Exploration Center provides a friendly environment for students to explore and pursue their career goals with the help of trained student career assistants. All students are welcomed to come anytime during opening hours to receive a walk-in resume critique, explore the different off-campus academic opportunities, read a book from our rich library collection, or take advantage of the numerous other services.

Services

  • Resume critiques on a drop-in basis.  Please bring a printed copy or e-mail it to us when you arrive in the CEC for your critique.
  • Cover letter critiques on a drop-in basis.  Please show us the job description of the internship or job you are applying to when you arrive in the CEC for your critique.
  • Mock interviews with a three day advance notice requirement.
  • Opportunities Binder that is updated with new career opportunities regularly.
  • Assistance with Cornell Handshake and on-campus recruiting systems.
  • Assistance with CAMPs , Human Ecology's alumni networking database Externship and internship information
  • Experiential learning resources for Off-Campus Study.

Resources

In addition to the special services offered in Human Ecology, students have access to Cornell Career Services in 103 Barnes Hall for help with career exploration, advising, and other career-related materials.
