Biographical Statement:

A major emphasis of my outreach work focuses on energy efficiency issues in residential buildings. Working closely with Extension Professor Joseph Laquatra, we have completed the  eighth year of the Consumer Education Program for Residential Energy Efficiency.  This program, a joint project of the Department of Design and Environmental Analysis, 28 Cornell Cooperative Extension Associations, and New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, educates New Yorkers in ways to make their homes more energy efficient and reduce home energy-related costs.

I also work closely with Professor Joseph Laquatra writing articles for both academic and general audience publications on environmental and health issues related to residential buildings.

I also spend significant amounts of time on outreach efforts in support of Extension Educators at local Cornell University Cooperative Extension Associations.  In addition I provide educational presentations and materials to professional groups and citizens throughout New York State on a variety of issues related to the built environment.
