Biographical Statement: Claudio Lucarelli is an Assistant Professor of Policy Analysis and Management. He joined PAM in 2006 after receiving his Ph.D. in Economics from The University of Pennsylvania. His research interests include empirical industrial organization and health economics. |

Current Research Activities: Claudio's research focuses on the industrial organization of health care markets. He is currently working on a series of papers on Medicare Part D, including an ex-ante evaluation of the program and its welfare impact. He has studied the pharmaceutical industry, and is currently developing a quality-adjusted price index for pharmaceutical products. His research interests also include dynamic competition in the hospital industry. |
