Welcome Prospective Transfer Students

Transfer students represent an important part of the College of Human Ecology community. Roughly one quarter of the college's students began their college experience at other academic institutions- transferring from 2 and 4 year colleges, or from sister colleges at Cornell.
Transfer students are drawn to Human Ecology for the:

• collection of the applied human focused majors, and the subsequent range of career possibilities the interdisciplinary focus provides.
• transfer credit policy where academic courses transfer easily.
• comprehensive academic and career development support.
• need-based financial aid that makes Cornell affordable for admitted students.
• resources of an Ivy League university, with the close knit community feel of a smaller college.

Our annual Transfer Day program for those interested in transferring to the College of Human Ecology from 2 or 4 year institutions is typically offered during the fall. More information will be available during early Fall 2016. In the meantime, we encourage prospective transfers to schedule a phone or
in-person appointment with a Human Ecology transfer admissions counselor.
