Welcome Recently-Accepted Students!

As you consider the options before you, we encourage you to take a closer look at the College of Human Ecology by visiting campus.  Whether your first visit to campus or a return visit, you will step onto campus with a new sense of purpose and perspective.  We hope you will use your time on campus in a way that will allow you to make the best decision regarding your undergraduate education and experience. 

We specifically invite you to join us for Cornell Days – April 8, 9, 12, 15, 16, and 19.  These days offer accepted students a variety of programs to help you get to know Cornell University even better.   

The College of Human Ecology has a number of offerings scheduled to make the College's programs and community come to life.  In addition to the campus-wide events, please stop by the Human Ecology Admissions Office, 170 Martha Van Rensselaer Hall, to sign our guest book, say hello, and to attend the events listed below.

College of Human Ecology Cornell Days Schedule

Student Ambassadors and staff members will be available in 170 Martha Van Rensselaer Hall throughout the day to answer your questions and help you arrange your visit. Please do plan to sit in on a Human Ecology class, meet our Ambassadors for lunch, or attend the roundtable discussions.

Human Ecology 101

Get an impression of your first-year experience in Human Ecology by attending this panel discussion led by faculty members and college counselors. Learn firsthand what to expect in your introductory courses in Human Ecology and how to strategically combine your course work with internships, undergraduate research, and off-campus study. We’ll also offer insights on how our students succeed at Cornell and how to take full advantage of the Human Ecology curriculum, academic advising, and career counseling services.

Human Ecology Pre-Med/Pre-Health Panel Discussion

If you’re considering a career in medicine or health care, join us for an informative panel discussion with faculty and staff members and students. You’ll learn about the relationship between our majors and a pre-med/pre-health curriculum, the role of student organizations, and the support services offered by the college. Panelists will include faculty members in the fields of nutritional sciences and human biology, health and society; our pre-med/pre-health advisor from the Office of Students and Career Development; and current students involved in PATCH, the Pre-Professional Association Toward Careers in Health.
